ABSTRACT

Automatic water level controller for both the overhead and underground reservoir is designed to monitor the water level in a tank. It displays the water level and when it is at the lowest level; a pump is automatically activated to fill the tank. When the tank is filled to its maximum capacity, the pump is turned off. Several circuits are put together to ensure the proper functioning of this design, and the diagram includes the power supply unit, the micro-processor unit, the sensor unit, the display unit and unit drive pumps. The power supply unit is charged to turn on the entire circuit. Some components are used to implement the power unit and they include; 15v a step-down transformer, a bridge rectifier circuit, a smoothing capacitor and a voltage regulator IC. The microprocessor (AT89S50) control virtually all of the actions undertaken in this design. (AT89S50) is used in the design. The detection unit is responsible for detecting the water level and to transfer the current position of the water to the microprocessor. The display unit in the circuit is used to physically show the current position of the water in the reservoir, the properties of the seven display segments are served.
