ABSTRACT
Insufficient credit support by government and the financial institution facilities has been identified as a major farm problem particularly affecting small farmers in Nigeria. This study analyzed the impact of credit facilities for the operation of small farms in Nigeria using BENDE local government as a case study. Questionnaires were used to supply the data used in the realization of this research. The research design used in this study was a descriptive survey design, in order to achieve an accurate representation of the total population. The study used a simple random sampling technique that the data analysis method. However, a strong result of this study is that the poor condition of credit facilities for small farmers in Nigeria has significantly affected the farm, and the reduction of agricultural production, leading to imports of agricultural products. The credit facilities plays a crucial role in the operation of small-scale agriculture, which provides the derivative output that support the growth and development of the economy.
