ABSTRACT
The study was conducted to examine the effect of Corporate Social Responsibility on Organizational Performance with emphasis on Dangote Plc, Asaba. The objectives of the study are to establish the effect of Corporate Social Responsibility on Organizational Performance in Dangote Plc, and to examine the effect of government policies on Corporate Social Responsibility as well as to determine if there is any significant relationship between Corporate Social Responsibility and community development. Relevant literature on this study were reviewed consequently, interviews was conducted to elicit other relevant information on the study. Both primary and secondary sources of data based were used for the study. It was discovered based on the literature reviewed and interview conducted that there is significant relationship between Corporate Social Responsibility and Organizational Performance, that government policies have significant effect on Corporate Social Responsibility, it was also revealed that Corporate Social Responsibility have significant relationship with community development. The study recommends that corporations should at least save 20% of their profit for societal problems and that government should develop policies which will enhance Corporate Social Responsibility by understanding the sensitive role it plays in the community development and society at large.
